Fences In Theatres Now… Till September
Fences starring british born actor Lenny Henry is Now in theatres at the Duchess Theatre in west-end. Lenny is often known for his outrageous, charismatic and comedic personality but after playing Othello, Lenny has proved he can do it all it.
Fences written by August Wilson is an American drama of the 20th century, based on a story of a family trying to hold itself together. The play is set between the Korean and Vietnam wars and explores the journey of a strong black male being robbed of his dreams. Fences is defiantly a play that will pull on heart strings and leave audiences feeling touched.
Lenny Henry plays Troy Maxson who was once a gifted and talented athlete but feels that he was denied his shot at the big time and now he struggles though his daily life. Resentful and Bitter of the world he lives in, he started to take his anger out in his loyal wife and son.
Fences is only on till September the 14th, make sure you catch it while its here.
Theatre tickets can be pretty pricey but if you look in the right places your sure to find a great deal. General tickets are £39.50 and the show last 2 hours and 40 mins.
The play has critics screaming that it is a must watch, so we cant help but do the same… so go watch.
