The Library @ London Marriot County Hall – Now Open

The newly opened restaurant, The Library is tucked upstairs in Londons famous Marriot county hall. The Library is filled with elegance,  history and a great view of London. Situated directly across from the Big Ben and Parliament, you’re bound to feel like royalty. Formally and still known for their afternoon tea, The Library have introduced their new dinner menu.

Head Chef, Jamie Welch has created a menu celebrating British greatness. The menu is small and features dishes like Cornish mussels, cooked in Chapel Down White Wine and Thyme and Steak Ralph Knott. With the menu being so traditional, we stuck to what we knew and ordered the steak and chicken. The food was tasty and portioned perfectly for one. If you are not used to the items on the menu, I recommend you ask the waiters for a break down.

The atmosphere was filled with class and makes a perfect spot for a date night. The Library isn’t the most expensive of places and you will defo be satisfied with your meal. My only disappointment was the dessert selection, as all dishes were cold.

Its not everyday you attend such a classical restaurant like, The Library and we most certainly made the most of it. If you’re wanting something different with a very British feel, then this is the spot.
