SkyLounge @ The DoubleTree – Rooftop Bar- Review- HOTSPOT

London is known for it’s bright lights, creative buildings and amazing views, which can all be seen from some of the hottest rooftop bars in town. S0 what makes one rooftop bar stand out from the other… Well we are on a mission to find the hottest rooftop bars in the city and we’ve already kicked things off with SkyLounge.

Skylounge is more than just a London rooftop bar, these guys are all about their amazing cocktails, accompanied with one of the best lite bite menus, whilst sitting ontop of a lovely hotel.

The bar has recently introduced a new winter cocktail menu which we feel every Londoner needs to try. The cocktail titles instantly grabbed our attention and hands down theres a drink in there to suit everyone.

Our favourite cocktails were:

“Blood and Sand” -which will instantly go to head,

“Sky at night” – Something refreshing thats sharp but sweet.

“Flamingo Bay” – Not too Creamy but perfect.

After a few of these you’re gonna need to soak it all up and that’s where their lite bite menu comes in handy. We we’re blown away by the portion sizes of their lite bite menu, which led us to think that you can easily go on a quick dinner date here.

With a selection of nibbles, lite bites and flat breads, these guys are not only creative with their drinks but they know how to spice it up in the kitchen. We recommend you try their lobster rolls, cheesy fries and goat cheese popcorn chicken. You won’t be disappointed!

The staff at the Skylounge are friendly and welcoming, who are willing to help give their customers the best bar experience to date. Having a great bar tender who’s up for a chat, makes any night out a good one, especially because they help you discover exactly what your taste buds require.

Situated above the Doubletree hilton next to Tower hill, they are already winning with the view and location of the bar. We found our experience to be very calm and sophisticated (maybe because it was a Monday)but we couldn’t help but noticed how chilled it was. The bar was lit perfectly so we could see each other and the music wasn’t over powering… although we visited on a night the DJ wasn’t playing. So if you do go some nights may be busier than the other but overall you will love it!

With a variety of options to chill inside, outside or in their new tree house, Skylounge is definitely on our hotspot list!

Hints and Tips: Just because its winter you don’t have to hide inside… ask the staff for a blanket and sit outside and take in the view.
