0Tootopia Festival 25-27 September
This month sees the return of Tooting’s annual multi-venue festival Tootopia<https://twitter.com/Tootopia> and its set to be bigger than ever before with a whole line-up dedicated to families and foodies.
Now in its fourth year, Tootopia will be teaming up with 20 of the neighborhood’s hottest hangouts for a three-day extravaganza, saluting all things Tooting.
Spread across 25-27th September, Tootopia promises a jam packed line-up of food, drink, live entertainment and family friendly events, hosted by the area’s best loved cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants.
In addition to festival must-dos including a Rugby World Cup ‘Screen on the Pitch’ at Tooting Tram & Social and Street Food Take-Over at Graveney & Meadow, there’ll be historical walking tours led by Councillor Rex Osborne, live bands, a 90’s fancy-dress Hip-Hop party in Tooting Market and bean-bag cinema plus loads more.
For the intrepid foodie, there’s a Foodie Trail featuring 12 of Tooting’s hottest food joints including the four-star-rated restaurants The Little Taperia and Meza, the long-standing and much-loved Lahore Karahi, Tooting wine connoisseurs Unwined, juice bar Get Juiced and Honest Burgers – each serving up a Tootopia dish, only available across Tootopia weekend.
Team Tootopia will also be hosting a fun-filled variety of activities, and workshops for babies and children aged 3 months to 12 years; design your own tote bag with Love Art, let the little one’s take to the walls at Coffee & Crayons or strike a pose with baby at Katie’s Pilates. For the pre-walkers in your life, there’s music to be made at Rhythm-n-babes music classes, and for the older ones a family barbeque, face painting and boutique cinema showing the best in children’s movies.
Cost: FREE entry with individual costs for food and some events. Please check the website for full listings.
