0The Old Salt Quay – New Restaurant – Review
The Old Salt Quay may be familiar to some as these guys we’re previously known as a pub but now The Old Salt Quay has had a makeover….
The Old Salt Quay is still apart of the Greene kings local pubs but is now being recognised as a restaurant that you have to try. This new refurbishment caught our eye instantly with their brand new offers, signs and great tasting food. If your looking for somewhere reasonable yet different in south London, then The Old Salt Quay is the spot to check out. The restaurant has not let go of their pub like routes as in the day time (before 5pm) they operate pub like with Orders being made at the bar and paid before hand. Whereas in the evening The Old Salt Quay take table bookings and go for the restaurant type of approach.
The Old Salt Quay is situated right on the banks on the river, perfect for those who love watching the boats speed up and down the thames. We haven’t quiet gaged the atmosphere of the restaurant just yet… but it was pretty quiet especially because it was still early. What we can scream and shout about was they great menu which consist of the best english dishes around. From Sausages and mash, fish and chips to sandwiches, salads and cakes. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced, with many meals displaying for under £10. We recommend you feast on their burgers and fish and chips… not just any chips… their sweet potato fires.
The Old Salt Quay is situated on the banks of the river and they have a great heated outside area perfect to watch the boats speed up and down the thames. We definitely recommend this spot for fresh couples looking for that all around date night.
