Rootsy Mill – Vegan/ Veggie Cafe – South London

We are still warming up to vegan life and no we are not vegans, but we most certainly are about trying new things. With the rise of vegans and the search for a good vegan restaurant, along came The Rootsy Mill.

The Rootsy Mill is located in Colliers wood… apart of the Merton Abby Mills, where you can find a variety of small food business but none like The Rootsy Mill. I had heard such great things about their chickpea curry and couldn’t wait to try it. The food is defo worth a try and although theres no meat and no diary… it was delicious. I was presently surprised that i wasn’t focused on the food being vegan, but i just wanted it to taste nice… which it did. Their vegan carrot cake, is also another must try! The cake was so good, i had to take some home.

The cafe is owned by lovely owners, who are keen on suggesting what to order and a little history about their cafe. As The Rootsy Mill is still pretty new their opening days vary, so i would always double check before heading down.

Now I’m not saying I’m turning vegan, but i would definitely come back to The Rootsy mill. I left feeling very satisfied and excited to try more vegan options.

Hints and Tips: If you’re new to vegan life, i strongly suggest you give it go.
