Roka – Award winning Japanese restaurant – Review

With the enormous success of Zuma, we can see why Rainer Becker opened the Roka chain in 2004 and now has 4 Roka chains in London.

We visited the Canary Wharf branch on a Girl’s night out and we we’re were thankful that we did! Roka is nicely situated in the financial district and boasts amazing views! Roka continues to be one of our favourite Japanese restaurants as the restaurant has round tables and a chilled atmosphere.

Roka is an award winning Japanese restaurant and we can understand why, with our favourite cocktail being Lipstick Rose, you’ll sure be set for a classy night!

New to the Sushi world? Why not try the Tempura Prawn Sushi which is cooked or be daring and go for the Tuna, the soft shell crab Tempura is also mouth-watering! We advise a couple of sharing dishes.

These dishes are delicious as starters, or to be accompanied with their sticky ribs and lamb chops and jasmine rice! Great dishes for meat lovers, don’t be scared to get your hands dirty as they’ll provide refreshing towels! With the round tables it is great to share dishes and your designated waiter will bring the dishes out when they are ready.

With a great meaningful name, ROKA is a meeting place where food and drinks are shared with friends (ro) and heat, warmth and an all-embracing energy surround (ka), there’s no surprise that we continue to visit!

Roka: The average spend for Roka is £50 or over depending on how many cocktails you down! Be sure to dress up as Canary Wharf is the place to be seen and book in advance as it does get busy at the weekend!

Hints and tips: Why not try Zuma with branches in the UK and around the world.
