Jam Circus- Restaurant- Brockley – Review

A shabby-chic-vintage victorian circus-themed hangout with interesting nooks, crannies, food and drinks. Jam Circus is a South London secret waiting to be shared.

Sitting pretty between Honor Oak and Brockley sits a former public house, now known as ‘Jam Circus’. It’s a hotch-potch of vintage wallpaper, grandad chairs and shabby-chic decor. It serves drinks, snacks and tasty grub. Whether you’re hanging out, having a meeting or a birthday, this spot is definitely one for the cool cats. The Jam Circus even boasts a book bank– take a book, bring it back or keep it and replace it! Cool right?

If the book bank wasn’t awesome enough, they host a world class quiz, you can have a bash at some boardgames, they host art tuition aaaaand the food is PROPER delish. Whilst food is served after 6pm only, if you’re a bit early, take a seat in a grandad chair in the ‘living room’ and have a few drinks amongst scrap-book style ornaments and lamps. Very cosy. Once food-o’clock had arrived we ordered the ‘Jam Circus Chicken Wings’ for £4.20 and ‘Pork & Chorizo Burger’ at a budget-friendly £8. We threw in some Chipotle Mayo for 25p. Soooo worth-it, as all burgers come with salad and fries. It was absolutely orgasmic- the fries were crunchy and the pork/chorizo burger was muy bueno! You can also find seafood and veggie options, so look out; they have a very varied menu! Boasting friendly staff, and clean, interesting interior (we guarantee you’ll spend time gawping at the cool art on the wall) it’s an all round great foodie spot, and we wish we’d heard about it sooner!

Mon 4pm-12am, Tues/Weds/Thurs 12pm-12am, Fri/Sat 12pm-1am, Sun 12pm-11pm. Food is served after 6pm everyday.
