Clutch Chicken – Restaurant – Review

Clutch Chicken has been on our radar for quite sometime, and with the constant recommendations and Instagram pictures, we just had to check it out.

Situated just off Colombia road and cleverly away from, what could appear to be competition in Shoreditch… Clutch is in a league of it’s own. The restaurant is designed like a open plan kitchen with a outside eating area and a bar area at the back, making it great for all occasions.

Rocking up, we immediately noticed that Clutch, hands down has one of the coolest music playlist in the restaurant biz! We had previously sampled a few of Clutch Chickens nibbles at a press event, not long ago and couldn’t wait to see if it was going to taste just how we remembered. But it didn’t… it tasted better!

Focusing on three main selections, wings, tenders, and pieces of chicken, we had to try it all. Our must haves would be the wings in the honey and sesame sauce and their buttermilk fried chicken. Although Clutch is famous for their chicken, their fries and coleslaw are certainly runners up.

As you know that we are not big fans of alcohol but we we’re fanatics over their choice of clutchtails names which we’re all named after top rappers… so we named our virgin cocktails Drake.

Clutch Chicken is definitely a spot you have to try and we promise you’ll won’t be waisting your pennies.

For Londoners who love the first meal of the day “Breakfast” Clutch serve a mean brunch on Saturdays and Sundays… consisting of waffles, banana bread and more, which we are yet to try.

Hints And Tips: The atmosphere can get a little busy on the weekends, so you might want to give them a bell before you head on down.
