Zurich – Atlantis by Giardino Hotel -Review

Many people asked why Zurich… With Atlantis by Giardino’s recent refurbishment, I had to visit the 5 star hotel chain and what better time to do it whilst bringing in the New Year.

Located just 15 minutes from the city centre Atlantis by Giardino sure stands out from the crowd at the foot of Uetliberg Mountain, with amazing staff to greet you on arrival with a refreshing drink by the fire we soon got into the swing of our urban retreat. We were shown around the hotel and were excited to take full advantage of what was on offer over the festive period.

You can easily let time slip away while in your room with the amazing views from our balcony although it was a little cold. The bathroom featured a rain shower to revive you and Marble walls and floors there is great attention to detail throughout the hotel. Be sure to close the bathroom door you might just find a much needed full length mirror!

Did someone say Dipiu Spa, Atlantis by Giardino boasts amazing spa facilities with couple’s treatment rooms you can relax and unwind whilst indulging in a treatment. We opted for the Classic Body Massage and soon drifted away while our masseuse’s released tension. Bring a book and relax by the indoor pool and Jacuzzi.

Martin and Katerina were very accommodating as I wanted to sit by the outdoor fire in the 0 degrees, as it was the best way to breathe in the brisk air while looking through the mist at the mountains while sipping on Hot Chocolate and eating my chocolate brownie.

Food glorious food!

We had to give into room service and we wasn’t disappointed and wondered how a simple burger could be full of mouth-watering flavours…

How do you like your eggs in the morning… Atlantis by Giardino have your eggs sorted, I couldn’t help but order pancakes and waffles.

We ventured out into the City to bring in the New year at Aura which was recommended by staff, amazing atmosphere and who doesn’t love a restaurant who also has a nightclub just upstairs. Listening to my favourite songs while tucking into my chocolate fondue. A dream come true.
