What2Kids: Old Macdonald’s Farm – Review

What To: We Love a good trip to the farm, so visiting Old MacDonald Farm was right up our street. Now this wasn’t just any old farm trip… Old macdonald’s farm features animals, rides, shows, food and more.

Why To: On arrival we were a little nervous as the sun was shinning in London… so that means the crowds come out. Straight away we spotted hand sanitisers and loads of cleaning stations to protect the guest… So this gave us such peace of mind.
Straight away you are giving the option to buy animal food (which is £1), a map and a little break down of what’s going on in the park today. As our little one is only two, we knew she wouldn’t be able to go on some of the rides but that didn’t stop us from doing everything else. The activities that usually happen inside were closed, due to covid but everything else was open.
We kicked the day off by exploring the Variety of animals from the Pigs to the Alpacas… and fed them along the way. Each animal has a fun fact board, which is great for the little ones to learn about what they are seeing.
Although it was a little busy, we didn’t have to wait long to get on the rides. We jumped on 4 rides in total, with the horses being her favourite. It was very good to see the staff cleaning as each guest got off the rides. Don’t expect the rides to be amazing but they are good for what they are.
We opted not to dine at the food stations as they were pretty busy and we defo couldn’t eat with the smell of animals everywhere. But we did choose to grab a large slushy, which was pretty reasonable.
Old MacDonalds farm works well for a casual day out with the younger kids, who are just looking to have a little fun.
