The Drunken Monkey In Shoreditch
The Drunken Monkey is one of Shoreditchs hotspots and now we understand why. This Bar/Restaurant specialises in Dim Sum delights and their great tasting cocktails that are fantastically named.
The Drunken Monkey is located in between Liverpool street and Old street station and is on the corner of Shoreditch high street, so there is no way you’ll struggle to find this one. The bar has such a upbeat atmosphere that at first we thought it was a club, with a DJ who plays some classic and new school tunes for you music lovers. Straight away we wanted to get down and dance and then remembered we were hungry.
Dim Sum menu’s can sometimes be uninteresting but at The Drunken Monkey, they had more to offer than what we expected. The menu is set at a great price starting from £2.50 and didn’t go that far over £10. Dim sum exist of loads of mini selections of food, so its always best to order a variety of dishes. Some dishes came before others so theres no time wasting, you have to get right in. We ordered about 5 dishes and they filled us up. The chicken wings are perfect, along with their selection of spring rolls.
If you want to combine dining and dancing, The Drunken Monkey is the spot for you. They also do events,so check them out if you want to shake a leg and have a good time.
Hints and Tips: Take a seat at the back area if your looking for less nose and more of a intimate setting.
