Pop-Up Cinema Screen… ‘Back To The Future’ in July

Check out the new Pop-up cinema screen  showing ‘Back to the future’  in Modern Hall Park.

Watch your favourite classic movies in the comfort of an park!

As the days get longer and the weather gets warmer we’re always searching for more fun things to do in the great outdoors, and that includes watching movies. We all love the cinema, but we don’t always want to be stuck inside a dark room with sticky chairs? No! We want to be able to watch our favourite movies, having the sun shining down on us, whilst we sit on the grass with our mates! Well now it’s possible with pop-up cinema screens appearing all over London.

This time, the inflatable screen features ‘Back to the future”.  On the 28th of July 2013, the classic film makes it pop-up cinema debut at their screen in Morden at the Morden Hall Park. Take a trip back in time to 80’s cinema and even further to the 50’s with Marty McFly and the Professor, in this cult-classic. The whole experience of being outside in the sun (fingers crossed) and being in the company of great people is surely going to be an unforgettable experience, but that’s not it…

As if going to the movies outside wasn’t fun enough, this pop-up cinema experience goes out with boring movie food, and in with an array of delicious choices.

‘Mei Mei’ will be serving savoury Chinese pancakes all evening at their stand and if that’s not to your taste, then maybe St Best Caribbean will tickle your fancy? ‘Drum and Kernal’ will be selling their famous Popcorn, and a bar will be serving cold-drinks and pints for those thirst-quenching moments. If you’d like something more home-made, why not get all your friends together and make a picnic of it? You’re welcome to bring your own stuff.

As for seating, you’re advised to bring lots of comfy things to sit on (we’d recommend getting one of those fancy folding chairs that sound fancy but are actually really cheap.)

Tickets are £8, and £5 for those under-10. Bargain. Your tickets will be digital so print or bring something digital to show your ticket on. Doors open at 7:30pm and the movie begins at 9:00pm, just as the sun sets! Get there early to grab a good spot and get yourself comfortable!

This sounds like great fun, and is sure to become a staple for Londoners. It’s definitely highly recommended and a What 2 we are definitely fans of!

Hints and Tips: Be advised that none of the stall have card-machines so take out the cash you’ll need to buy all the on-site goodies!

Bring a brolly or waterproof poncho… just incase!
