Marchesi Cafe – Harrods- Pop-Up
Marchesi Cafe opened their doors last week, apart of the Pradasphere exhibition at Harrods. Team What2 got the chance to experience and dine at this fabulous Italian beauty of a restaurant.
Marchesi Cafe is that hidden Italian restaurant, that we search high and low for in London. Specialising in pure italian fresh dishes, these guys know exactly what they are doing. It’s not every day that you go to a italian restaurant that keeps the menu very traditional…. so don’t expect to see your spag bowls or your over cooked pasta here. At the Marchesi cafe, you’ll receive the real deal for breakfast lunch and tea.
Marchesi cafe is situated on the forth floor at the terrace bar till the end of may 2014. Yes this fine italian cafe is only a pop up, so you have to check these guys out pretty quick.
Offering a authentic selection of dishes we couldn’t resist but to try out their most popular dishes. We don’t often throw around this favourite word but lets just say that on sunday we tried one of the best tasting omelettes ever!!! Who would of thought that egg could taste so good… The spinach and cheese omelette was to dies for.
The menu at Marchesi cafe is very simple and straight to the point. If your not to sure about what to order, their staffing team are very hands on and willing to help you figure out what suits your taste buds. We tried the sea bass for our mains and wow was we pleased. The portion size was perfect, served with new potatoes and a traditional peas and pork side dish.
The average spend for Marchesi would estimate to £40 for 2 people which we feel is very worth.
Marchesi Cafe is great for that first date or that morning catch up meal.
