Dub Jam- Review

A few months ago we were expressing about how excited we were for the opening of Dub Jam and this weekend we got the chance to check it out.

Dub Jam is located in the centre of Covent Garden and they couldn’t have chosen a better location. The city is filled with many restaurants but they can never compare to what Dub Jam has to offer. This unique, box like restaurant, had us gob smacked.

Walking into Dub Jam we were for certain we were in the right place but was thinking if there was any more space to the restaurant. Straight away we felt the vibes of the staffing team and their customers, giving us a warm welcome. Everyone was jamming and having a good time, whilst eating good food. With around 2/3 tables to seat about 4-6 people each this spot is doing something right! No matter how small Dub Jam is we wanted to stay and become apart of the atmosphere and energy.

Music was blazing from their massive speakers, playing various Caribbean themed songs, we couldn’t help but dance.  Art themed settings and statements all over the walls, prepared us for their cool themed menu. To be honest, the menu made everything look appealing we just wanted to try it all. Feeling like we were in Jamaica, of course we had to try their Rum punch. For those who love a twist to their drinks, we recommend you try it… we had several. After feeling a little tipsy, we were ready to stuff our bellies, with some greatness.

When visiting Dub Jam you have to check out their “Jammin” Jerk Chicken, Dub Shack pineapple Burger, Rude Boy Skins (also known as chips) and their home made coleslaw. Each dish is served in a cute bowl like container but is the perfect size. The food is served with love… we now understand why they call it “Soul Food”.

We estimate the average spend per person is under £20… its worth it!

Later this year Dub Jam will be serving breakfast… so stay tuned for that review.
