Caribbean Restaurant- Cottons

Cottons is an amazing London based Caribbean Restaurant, with branches in Camden and Islington. The two restaurants have different management teams that run both restaurants individually and independently.  Team What 2 visited the Camden branch, where the restaurant is located on one of Camden’s main roads (Chalk Farm). Theres no excuses of getting lost on your way to this hotspot.

Cottons have a bar and two dining areas, which  are upstairs and downstairs. When seated the staff greet you with some of the loveliest tasting Hardo bread, which we couldn’t get enough of. When deciding on what to order we swayed to some of the most classic songs that were being played. It was hard to refuse singing along to such great hits from Michael Jackson and Ray Charles.

The staff are friendly and willing to give you advice on what to order. Their advice was handy and helped us order some of the nicest tasting selection of food from the menu. We recommend you try their Jerk Chicken skewers and West Indian Meze, for a starter. The Meze comes with a variety of foods to nibble on, perfect before the main course. We order the Mix Jerk Meat grill for our main, which consist of the best pieces of lamb, pork and chicken.  They also have a fish platters for you non-meat lovers. Its always great ordering a platter because they come with sides too.

This caribbean restaurant  is great for their cocktails and alcoholic beverages unless you plan to keep it alcohol free. The restaurant also run different events throughout the month and several parties over the weekends, so if you like to shake a leg, Cottons is for you.

Hints and Tips: Ordering platters are useful if you want a selection…they are more filling and help if you are on a budget.
