DINNER @ CHAI NAASTO – BECKENHAM – REVIEW

Chai Naasto is a family owned indian restaurant, located in several areas around town. Chai Naasto is created by three brothers, who had a strong love for their grandma’s cooking. Proud of their Nan’s story, history and journey to the U.K, the brothers wanted us to witness the greatness… Chai Naasto.

We visited the Beckenham branch and was blown away by the bright table colours, music, and community atmosphere. On arrival we were greeted with open arms and given recommendations… which obviously included Nan’s dishes. At first i found Chai Naasto’s menu a little confusing as it is set in sections and involves small plates. We strongly recommend asking for help, if you are wanting something specific. Many indian restaurants have been diluted with sugars but Chai Naasto pride themselves, of keeping dishes as traditional as possible.

I couldn’t get enough of the lamb ribs, chicken wings, nan’s curry and naan bread. The food was just as expected, tasty. These are defo a must order and if you’re a lover of kebabs… you won’t be disappointed. The rice could have been a little softer but worked well with my curry.

If you are looking for a casual setting, with nice food and a lovely family atmosphere, then Chai Naasto is the spot!

Hints and Tips: The restaurant is has 2 sections, so if you’re looking for something a little finer, ask to be seated up stairs.
