0Caffe Caldesi – Italian- Review
Who would of guessed that the little restaurant on the corner, would turn into one of our must go too spots in Marylebone.
Caffe Caldesi brings Italy to London, with Italian food, an Italian atmosphere and even Italian staff. The great thing about Caffe Caldesi is that they welcome all visitors with open arms, which had us instantly feeling at home. The restaurant is designed over 2 floors, with a bar type area down stairs and more of a romantic seated area upstairs. Its only right that we sat upstairs, to feel the love of Italy.
What makes Caffe Caldesi so special is that they not only cover the traditional antipasti dishes but they also serve up a mean steak and fried chips. We recommend that you keep it traditional as its not everyday you get to dine on real italian dishes, served by real Italians. But if you do want something a little different, try their scallops for starter and feast on their baked salmon with parsnip puree for a main.
We must admit that we couldn’t wait to get to dessert because we spotted Tiramisù on the menu… our visit would not be the same without it. If your a newbie to Tiramisù, be sure to add this bad boy to your order.
Caffe Caldesi is that go to restaurant for a dinner date or a quick catch up with your mates…
It’s not the cheapest place to dine but it’s mostly certainly worth it.
Hints and Tips: Remember to mix it up a bit, with antipasti dishes and secondi dishes.
