Bahamas – Atlantis Cove – Review

THE BAHAMAS:
Travelling to the Bahamas isn’t the cheapest of getaways but it is definitely worth it! I was in search of sun, sea, sand and an amazing birthday destination… so thats where we decided Bahamas!
The Bahamas is the perfect place for couples and those looking to have the ultimate relaxing vacation. With friendly locals and a down area (Nassau) your bound to have a good time. As it was my birthday i wanted the best of the best and thats exactly what we got when it came to our hotel!
The Atlantis Cove: Situated among the other atlantis hotels, the cove is ranked number 1 hotel in the Bahamas and up their with the top hotels in the world. On arrival i realised that my partner had a little bit more than a birthday celebration in mind… He proposed!!! Obviously i said yes. The cove had helped him to prepare the most wonderful proposal, with a room filled with roses and a lovely room for 2. All of the staff knew exactly what was going on and gave us nothing but a great reception.
Our Top Things to do at The cove and The Atlantis:
The cove is on a private section of the atlantis and doesn’t allow kids (sorry). All guest have private passes and are allowed to access all water parks But the other atlantis resorts allow children.
Cane at the cove: Cane at the cove is a private pool area only for Cove guest. Hands down this place made my experience a 10/10. Serving the most amazing daiquiris and burgers, we were in our zone. The cane also has a DJ playing the best jams until 6pm every evening!
Water Parks: If your a swimmer your gonna love it here! With over 5 water slides and the whole resort in water its perfect spot to swim and have a good time.
Dolphin Bay: At first i wasn’t to sure about feeding dolphins, let alone swimming with them but till this day i haven’t forgotten this experience.
The Spa: Who goes on holiday without getting in a massage… exactly.
DINING: There are over 20 restaurants throughout all of the atlantis but our top 3 would have to be, Mesa Grill, Sea fire steakhouse and Mosaic.
Our Top Things to do in the Bahamas
Get to history and the locals – The Bahamas has so much history especially as they have only just got their independence, so theres so much to the learn.
Eat Down Town: Hotel food is amazing but get your butt downtown and experience some of Bahamas’s most traditional dishes like conk fish with peas and rice.
The stingray experience: The are many companies that offer visitors to experience heading to a private island to feed stingrays and sharks… we suggest you check it out. The experience includes food, drink and the chance to get the hell out of your comfort zone.
OVERALL
The Bahamas is by far one of our favourite trips to date and we cant wait to jet off again!
