DUBAI: THE NEW FIVE PALM HOTEL – REVIEW

We are no strangers to Dubai, as we have reviewed a few of their hotels but when we found out that there was a New hot hotel being made, we just had to check it out.

The new Five Palm hotel formally known as the viceroy, is situated at the top of the palm. Perfect for those wanting to get out and about in Dubai… With Gold, Glass and Marble interiors, i knew i was going to love it.

On arrival we we’re greeted with a massive welcome, followed by 5 star treatment and taken to our room.

THE ROOMS: Modern is a understatement when it comes to the Five Palm hotel. The room was a perfect size and featured a shower and a gold bath tub.. yep gold. The hotel separates the toilet from the shower and bath, which is fab. As there is still bit of work going on with the hotel, our view wasn’t the greatest. If you’re not a fan of Ac then we suggest you get to love it, because the hotel gets very very hot. At one point our room felt hotter than outside.

As a couple this was a great size room and had enough wardrobe space for us both!

DINING: We didn’t get to check out room service, as we had bed and breakfast and wanted to eat from the restaurants in the hotel. We suggest you do the same, as we found the food nice. Five Palm have a wide breakfast selection from pastries, cereal to full english breakfast.

They also have 3 lovely restaurants, Our fave was Maiden Shanghai : A authentic Chinese restaurant with a rooftop seating area. The food was good, and the chef is always willing to compromise on giving you exactly what you want. You have to try their beef puffs from the starters menu.

THINGS 2 DO: Five Palm isnt the biggest hotel but it does have 2 pools and severel deck areas for you to take in that Dubai weather. As the hotel is still in development, we didn’t get to use the spa or the other areas. But hopefully you do and you can let me know how it goes.
