KIMCHEE – HIGH HOLBORN- KOREAN RESTAURANT- REVIEW

Kimchee in Holborn has been on our radar for quite sometime, so it seemed only right we checked them out…

It feels like London is becoming the prime attraction for Korean restaurants, which we’re loving but what makes Kimchee so special?

We discovered Kimchee is more than just your average “Spicy Pickled Cabbage.” For those wanting a buzzy spot which won’t break the bank or leave you feeling sluggish… then Kimchee is the place.

On arrival we noticed how busy the restaurant was, which instantly proved we had been missing out! However with speedy table turnaround, we weren’t left waiting for long! With Kimchee’s amazing decor and attentive staffing team, we knew we were going to enjoy it!

On every table, along with the menu, there’s a little card, we suggest you read…have you heard of the Zapper app?

Kimchee has teamed up with Zapper (a mobile payment app) allowing customers to download the free app then pay simply and securely by using their mobile to just scan a QR code on the receipt, plus you can also spilt the bill and leave rate and review comments.

Apps like these always make the dining experience so much easier as customers do not have to wait for card machines, fuss about who’s paying for what, or take out the calculator to do the sums… the app does it all for you (plus we got £5 off our first go!). And if that wasn’t good enough…when searching the app, Zapper offers a variety of special deals for restaurants around the UK.. so you definitely need to have a look to save time and money when eating out…

Now lets talk about our favourite thing… Food.

If you’re new to Korean food, we suggest you ask a waiter to go through the menu and explain the different dishes, so you know exactly what you’re about to feast on.

Their yang yeum chicken and prawns is a must try, along with their beef rib-eye steak and chicken udon noodles. This is a place we will definitely be heading back to, not only for the delicious food but the amazing prices too!

Hints and Tips: Don’t forget to use Zapper… If Korean isn’t your thing, you can use Zapper at many other restaurants (just download the app and search the restaurants, over 1,000 in the UK!)… We’re vastly becoming a cashless society, so no need to bring your cash or card… just bring Zapper (your mobile)
