Table Football at Bar Kick- Shoreditch‏

Table Football gets a makeover at Bar Kick, the Table Football capital of Shoreditch .

Yep, table-football is causing quite a buzz at Bar Kick in Shoreditch. The sister of Café Kick, Bar Kick offers guests the chance to sample great food, a great atmosphere and 2 floors of table-football madness. They take the game very seriously. The tables are original French Bonzini tables made from Beechwood with wooden figures and even the proper World-Cup balls.  Sounds  pretty legit right? Well it is! It’s so legit that tournaments happen frequently, there are different rules (French rules and British rules) and Bar Kick is the headquarters for the “The Kick Babyfoot Association”, which punters can become a member of. So If you really love your experience and want to compete at a higher level, join the club. The association meets every Thursday. As a semi-pro table-footballer you get to compete in other tournaments with your team-mates, organise tournaments, and travel to the official Babyfoot World Cup in Paris! It’s definitely worth a look, and punters are invited to come along and watch on a Thursday to see if they’d like to join, or just to watch the beautiful (table) game.

For some, table-football is just a great way to socialise and break the ice. We have a tendency to get really competitive, so for those who are like us beware. If you don’t want to join the Association at Bar Kick, you can just compete against other punters. The rules are different for each player so you’re advised to ask them which they’re playing by, but the most common rule is “winner stays on”, so if you’re good, you could really make a (long) night of it!

However you want to join in with Table Football at Bar Kick, there are literally hundreds of events to get stuck in to. From Women-only, to Juniors, Open Singles and Doubles and all come with an official final, which always draw a crowd. All of these cool events are all listed here:

All of the Table Football machines take £1 coins.

Bar Kick also offers some great food in a contemporary, yet typically Shoreditch French setting: dim lighting and cool interior design. They offer “lovingly” cooked food and cocktails, with Happy Hour on Mondays from 4 – 7pm and for all the real football lovers, they now show all football matches in 3D.

So whether you’re with your girls and you want to show the guys who’s boss, or a group of guys who want to settle a score, Bar Kick is definitely the place to chill out, have fun and try something new.

Let us know how many games you won 😉
