Duck And Waffle- Restaurant- Review

With many restaurants around London Town, its sometimes hard to pick a specific to dine at. If your looking for a great atmosphere, great food and an amazing view, we have the right spot for you….

Duck and Waffle is situated on the 40th floor of the Heron Town, in the centre of London’s Aldgate. We kept hearing about Duck and waffle and couldn’t get our heads around a restaurant that serves duck and waffles… together! So to fix our confusion, we had to check it out and now understand the hype around the restaurant.

Duck and Waffle is that stand out spot, with reservations rocketing through the roof, we decided to dine at 12am, where they allow you to turn up and wait in their bar area before seated. On arrival to the restaurant there was no chance of us getting lost because the tower stands out from a mile away. With flaming heaters and bouncers outside, we knew we were in the right place. For those afraid of heights, you might have to dine with your eyes closed because as mentioned before Duck and waffle is on the 40th floor. One of the best experiences of the night was getting in the lift, that allows you tooter  look London and admire how lucky we are to be Londoners. Instagram lovers, your gonna love it here… we couldn’t stop snapping all of our surroundings,  at one point we forgot to order because we were so busy taking pictures and obsessed with the atmosphere.

Now it was only wise that we ordered Duck and Waffle off the menu, what tasted great. Nothings beats a bit of savoury with some sweet. The What2 team are dessert lovers and we couldn’t leave without trying their dessert menu… Lets just say that their waffles are some of the best tasting waffles in the city. The dessert waffles are served with caramelised banana’s, ice cream and nutella.

Duck and waffle is the perfect spot for all you romantics and first time daters. Its also great to bring a lot a group of friends and get some drinks down ya!

Our average spend between 2 of us came up to £45 pound which is great for a city restaurant.
